The brief

Northwake’s spring tour played arenas one night and 900-cap rooms the next. Every venue meant a different LED wall, a different FOH position and four hours of re-timing cues by hand.

What changed

Deep Current took a single feed from the front-of-house desk and drove the wall straight from the mix. Kick, bass and vocal energy shaped the water in real time, so nothing had to be programmed to the setlist.

One laptop, every room

The operator saved a palette per song and a scene per venue size. Load-in dropped to one hour, and when the band changed the encore on night 12, the visuals simply followed.

“

We used to carry two media servers and a programmer. Now the water listens to the band and I watch the house.
